From Kyle of Lochalsh to the Isle of Skye takes only a few minutes either by ferry or via the new bridge.

Once on the Isle of Skye you can travel through Kyleakin to Portree, a most spectacular journey. This is a small Island of romance and enchantment known the world over for it's rich and vibrant history and breathtaking scenery.

Dunvegan Castle is the highlight of any trip to Skye and should
not be missed. John Macleod of Macleod the 29th chief,
welcomes all visitors to his Estate.

Here you will be enthralled by the history that surrounds Dunvegan. You can enjoy the castle's water gardens, clan exhibition, loch boat trip, and famous seal colony.

Dunvagan at night.

Visitors can view genuine items and personal effects that that belonged to Bonnie Prince Charlie, and Flora Macdonald. The castle also incorporates a licensed restaurant, as well as craft and souvenir shops.

For those who prefer to let someone else take the strain, there are day long tours to the Isle of Skye from Inverness by coach, which is highly recommended.
